Prayer Requests

First Family     

  • First Family Sunday... On the first Sunday of the month, families stay together during the worship service. There will be no ROCK. Nursery aged children will meet in their area. We will enjoy donuts, coffee, juice, and milk in the Fellowship Hall after Bible Fellowship, then go to the sanctuary together. Also, on the First Sunday, we will partake of the Lord's Supper together. At the end of the service, a Benevolence Offering will be taken.
  • Deacon of the Week...  David Durland, August 31-September 6 and Glenn Ellis, September 7-13.  
  • A Season of Hope– is a new, six-week support group designed to offer encouragement and healing. This group is open to all residents of Shelby County who are struggling with grief, loss, sadness, or issues with changes in their life and is free of charge. Led by experienced Christian counselors, this group provides a safe and supportive environment grounded in faith. Meetings are weekly on Wednesdays beginning September 10 from 5:45-7:15 PM.   • Proclaim Women's Conference.... for women on Friday, September 12 & 13, at SFBC! The only one of its kind, Proclaim encourages us to share the gospel without anxiety in our community. Come and join us as we explore how to live about authentic faith and proclaim Christ with purpose through evangelistic breakout tracks, gospel-driven messages and uplifting worship.   • North Central Baptist Network Fall Meeting... will be on Sunday, September 21, at the Crestwood Baptist Church (6400 Sweetbay Drive, Crestwood, KY 40014). If you would like to attend, please contact the office to register as a messenger no later than September 11.

  • Church Security...With our security procedures and equipment that were installed last summer, our security team can assist you if you need access to the building after church or office hours. Please e-mail them at
Children's Ministry
  • Children's Midweek... Pastor Chad leads our Children in Bible truths & Missions on the 2nd floor during MidWeek on Wednesdays. Jessica Patton leads Children's music from 6:00-6:30 pm. (Children need to be checked in by a parent before children's music.)  
  • American Heritage Girls... AHG Regular Meetings are led by Jessi Brown and Angie Brown. Their next meeting is on Thursday, September 18
Worship Ministry
  • Worship Choir...  It's the perfect time to join our worship choir. We've begun looking towards the holidays. Join us for practice on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM in the Choir Suite. Additionally, if you would like to be a part of our praise team, please see Pastor Martin. 
  • Media Ministry Volunteers... The media ministry needs you! Whether you are tech-savvy or just willing to learn, you can play a vital role in helping our church reach people both in person and online. If you want to serve and make a real impact, contact Martin Gureasko.

Men's Ministry
  • Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study… Our dedicated Men’s Bible study group continues their 8:00 am meetings on Tuesday morning for breakfast and Bible study at the Cracker Barrel. Stop in and say hello!
  • Men’s Bible Study… Mike Fackler leads this ongoing study on the book of Genesis on Saturdays at 8:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall.  Feel free to join them.
MidWeek 
  • MidWeek... begins with a time of fellowship and a hot meal prepared by Chef Brent Evans. Our menu for September 10th: Chicken Broccoli & Rice Casserole or Steak & Gravy Hash, Romaine Salad, Country Style Green Beans, Dinner Rolls and Desserts. Kid's Menu: Mini Corn Dogs or 1/2 Portion of Adult Entree and Country Style Green Beans. The Fellowship meal will be served from 5pm-6:15 pm. Children's Music runs from 6:00-6:30 pm. Students and Bible Studies are held from 6:15-7:15 pm. You are always welcome to join us. 
  • MidWeek Studies... Pastor Dan will lead the Adult Study from the New Testament Book of Galatians; Room 303. The Women's Study will be led by Angie Reid based on the New Testament Book of Titus, Displaying the Gospel of Grace; Room 300. Students will gather with Pastor Brett in the Student Room to strengthen their relationships with Christ.  Pastor Chad will lead our Children in Bible truths & missions on the 2nd floor. Jessica Patton will lead Children's music from 6:00-6:30 pm. (Children need to be checked in by a parent before children's music.)  Our worship leader, Pastor Martin, will lead Choir Practice at 7:30 pm. 
Missions/Ministry
  • Mary Sampson WMU... Our Mary Sampson WMU meet each month on Tuesdays at 10:00 am in the Chapel. Come be a part of learning about missions and how missions' impact so many across the globe.  
  • Bible Study Fellowship… BSF is an international organization with students of all ages from all around the world. BSF will be back in full swing on Thursday, September 11. Call the church office if you would like to know more about BSF or go to bsfinternational.org
  • NSBN Children's Missions Day is Saturday, September 20,10am-11:30 am at DeHaven Baptist Church, 300 West Main Street in LaGrange. All children from the NCBN churches are invited to a special birthday! We will come together to prepare "Birthday Party in a Bag" gifts for children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to celebrate their special day. We encourage each child attending to bring one or more of the following items to help us complete the bags: Cake mixes, Frosting, Birthday paper plates and napkins, Birthday banners, Candles, Drink mixes, Disposable baking pans and other party items. RSVP to Susan Bryant by September 15th with the number of children attending to assist us in our planning. You may call her at 502-655-7403. 
  • KBC Disaster Relief Training... Disaster Relief Training is available on September 15th in Bowling Green and October 11th in Campbellsville.  Find details and register at www.kybaptist.ort/disaster-relief/ 
  • Blessing Box Ministry... There are two Blessing Boxes. One is for food items and the other for items such as blankets, jackets, hats and gloves. You may bring your contributions and place them in the wheelbarrow located at the office entrance. (If you drop off your contributions anywhere else, we are unable to get a count of them.) Thank you for ALL the support you have given this invaluable ministry!
  • Supporting KBC Disaster Relief Continues… You can help support Disaster Relief: 1) By donating gift cards to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Visa, Walmart or Tractor Supply and 2) by writing notes of encouragement to our Disaster Relief volunteers who will be serving affected areas. Send both to the Kentucky Baptist Convention, Attention “Disaster Relief” at 13420 Eastpoint Centre Dr., Louisville, KY 40223.
Missions Moment

    Please pray for the IMB's research team in the Americas as they seek to help bring clarity about lostness throughout the America. Pray that God will use data to ensure that the gospel gets to those who do not know Christ or have meaningful access to the gospel.
